Which AI Should You Use?
(A simple way to pick between ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini — without researching forever)
|
|
You've probably heard people talk about ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini — sometimes in the same breath, like they're interchangeable. Are they? Should you be using more than one? Do you need to compare spec sheets and reviews before picking one?
The problem: there's no single “best” AI tool, and researching all of them could eat your whole afternoon. What you need: a simple way to decide, without becoming an AI researcher first.
|
|
⚡ Here's the idea: ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini are all excellent, general-purpose AI assistants. The differences between them come down to fit — what you already use day to day, and what you're trying to do — not one being flatly “better” than the others.
|
|
|
Example: If most of your day already runs through Gmail or Google Docs, Gemini is right there waiting — it's built into those tools already. If you do a lot of writing — letters, reports, planning — Claude tends to keep a clear, natural tone over long pieces. If you want to make a picture, or you like having lots of tutorials to lean on, ChatGPT has the biggest head start there.

A quick cheat sheet:
| If you're doing this... |
Reach for... |
| Writing or editing something long |
Claude |
| Working inside Gmail or Google Docs |
Gemini |
| Making a picture |
ChatGPT |
| A quick everyday question |
Whichever you already have open |

|
💬 “Isn't one of these just the best one?”
Honestly, no — not in a way that matters for everyday use. All three are genuinely good. Picking one, getting comfortable with it, and actually using it beats waiting until you've found the “perfect” choice. You can always add the other two later if you're curious.

💡 This Week's Tip
If you don't have an account with any of these yet, start with one: a Google user starts with Gemini, a heavy writer starts with Claude, and if you want the most how-to guides online, start with ChatGPT. Signing up takes about five minutes and none of them need a credit card for the free version.
