The problem: Typing a good prompt on your phone is slow. Autocorrect fights you, your thumbs get tired, and by the time you've typed three sentences you've lost your train of thought.
What you need: A faster way to get your question or request into Claude or ChatGPT — one you already know how to do.
The idea: You can talk to both Claude and ChatGPT instead of typing. This isn't a hidden setting — it's built into both apps, and it works the same way your phone's microphone key works when you're texting. You talk, it turns your words into a prompt, you hit send.
Example: This matters most when typing isn't really an option. Out on your morning walk, pedaling on the exercise bike, driving, cooking — anytime your hands and eyes are busy, pulling out your phone to peck out a question is more trouble than it's worth. Voice lets you ask it anyway: "What's a good stretch for a sore knee?" or "Remind me to call the pharmacy when I get home." No stopping, no typing, no losing your train of thought.
There are actually two different ways to do this, and it's worth knowing the difference.
